Mentors who participate in the Sanofi BioGENEius Challenge Canada have the opportunity to pass on their knowledge and expertise to the next generation of scientists. It’s an opportunity for personal community involvement that also helps build Canada’s future biotechnology capacity.
Paying it forward
SBCC participants represent fresh, raw talent ready to soak up everything they’re taught. As a mentor, you can bring out their passion and skill. Work closely with young scientists in the lab and help them understand and proceed successfully through the research process. Past mentors have literally been amazed by the talent and ability of the young researchers who enter this competition—students whose work in many cases has contributed to the international scientific body of knowledge.
