Excitement grows as the annual Sanofi BioGENEius Challenge Canada Manitoba poster display and competition date of April 22 approaches. This year our host institution is the University of Manitoba Faculty of Medicine. We will be able to use their beautiful facilities at the Brody Centre and Buhler Atrium, as well as parts of the Basic Medical Sciences Building.

There are 20 research projects this year spanning a wide area of Life Science, from cutting edge studies in medical and pharmaceutical research, environmental, agriculture, nutraceutical and functional foods, chemistry, basic biological studies and others, often including overlapping fields.

On April 23 we will hold our Awards Dinner where everyone will be well fed and have their scientific minds stimulated by our Keynote speaker Dr Cindy Corbett, an expert in the field of emerging bacterial pathogens. Of course Awards and Trophies will be presented by honoured guests such as Joanne Kennedy, representing Sanofi Canada, Kevin Coombs representing the University of Manitoba, and Sherif Louis of Genome Prairie.

The research looks better than ever and it will be a great event.
